How to Lighten Dark Elbows and Knees Fast at Home

Regular scrubbing to get rid of dark skin
Skin of elbows and knees tends to accumulate excess dead skin cells and it needs daily exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and also to prevent further accumulation. You can prepare homemade scrub for knees and elbows to lighten dark skin patches.
  • Mix a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of sugar and some drops of honey to make homemade scrub.
  • Apply mixture on affected skin, wait for 15 minutes and scrub off gently using cotton balls of wet wash cloths. Sugar remove dead skin cells, lemon lightens skin tone where as honey provide moisture and nourish skin to make it soft and supple.
  • Cut tomato in slices and pure grinded sugar on it. Rub sugar covered tomato slice on your elbows and knees gently and wash off after 15 minutes followed by application of strong moisturizer like cocoa butter or Shea butter. Sugar exfoliates skin where as tomato is an effective skin whitening ingredients. Apply it daily and see dark patches on knees and elbows within 2 weeks.


Regular Moisturizing to eliminate dark skin on elbows and knees
Regular moisturizing is as important as exfoliating to prevent and eliminated dark skin on knees and elbows as continuous friction eats moisture of skin and make it thicker and harder. 
  • Apply thick moisturizing agents like Shea butter or cocoa butter at least twice a day to keep skin soft and supple even if you didn't scrubbed.
  • The another way to moisturizing elbows and knees skin is to apply mix of Aloe Vera gel and Vitamin E. Mix a Vitamin E capsule in a tablespoon on Aloe Vera gel and apply thick layer on affected skin twice a day. It repairs damaged skin tissue because of friction, nourish skin and lighten dark skin. Aloe Vera gel can also be used alone on skin to prevent further darkening of elbows and knees.
  • Mix 2-3 drops of lemon juice in a tablespoon of coconut oil and apply twice a day to lighten dark elbows and dark knees. Lemon juice bleaches skin to lighten dark tone and coconut provide moisturizer to make it soft and supple.
